Ffs 3 kids (grown ups) here.

I did all the cooking and they stopped me from doing it yesterday (the washing up) but no one is up and the kitchen is still a mess ARGH!!!!

I managed 1 load in the dishwasher.

Did they say they'd do it when they stopped you?

Oh that's bad. All adults who did not take a major part in cooking should have done the clearing/washing up after Xmas dinner. Before tea time (if you have one). Definitely before the end of Xmas Day. Or at worst before the cook gets up the next day!!!

Is it done yet OP?

Our dishwasher has been on about five times in the past two days.

Tell them - "X needs to unload, Y needs to load, Z needs to clear the table" (or whatever).

Washing up has to be done before present unwrapping.a tradition I hated as a kid but it just works so have continued.
