We recently did an extensive refurbishment job on our house. We rented a flat at the time and moved out earlier than planned. We packed all our belongings and tried to return them to our garage but it was full as the builders had stuffed it with their equipment and other items we had purchased such as the kitchen and bathrooms stuff.
DH took a couple of boxes to his parents house for them to store. I had no idea what was in the boxes but most of it was my clothes which I'd stuffed into the box. MIL opted the box and did all my laundry including my underwear. I also had a letter about my salary in the box.
I'm extremely pissed off that she took it upon herself to open a box that wasn't hers under the pretext of doing my laundry. She told me everything that was in the box that she had laundered except obviously my salary letter.
I already don't care of her because she's very nosy and gossips about everyone and everything.
I know it's my fault for even letting DH take stuff over there but more pissed at him for not stopping her from going through my things.
Not sure the point of the post as what's done is done but it's something I can't get out of my mind just yet.
