Posting for traffic !

We are up in my mums for Christmas. My 8 year old has just come to be holding back the tears saying her 12 year old cousin has showed her a video of a tic toc video . In it was an older sibling helping her parents “do” Santa . Eating the mince pie etc . The comments were all saying I can’t believe children believe in Santa etc
Any advice ? I don’t want her to loose the magic at this age , especially Christmas Day .
I need to salvage Santa , we’ve had a shit few months Xmas Sad

Aw poor thing. Maybe you could try explain it from the "believers and non believers" angle?

Tell her Santa is TOTALLY fake, but Father Christmas is real Grin🎅

A YouTube video is not real life. People can make up anything they want.

Tell her Santa was real and they're lying in the video but then if she keeps going on about it afterwards it's time to tell her the truth. Around this age kids start working it out, they aren't stupid, although it would be nice for them to believe a bit longer.

Thanks so much , I’ve told her about social media and people can make up anything . It’s so hard , I don’t want to make too much of a big deal with family around !
