Partner got me nothing for Christmas, said he’d got me a card so I asked if I could have it (cards/the thought means more to me) reply I got was ‘I only got it yesterday and I’ve not written it yet’ I feel so crap. We had our first child this year, thought maybe a bit of effort would have been made you know seeing as I pushed an 8lb child out of me. I don’t care about no presents, just a f*cking bit of effort would have been nice. Urgh. He’ll go out of his way to buy beers every bloody night, couldn’t have picked me up a card then?! I’ve had his presents/cards (from baby and me) for weeks now. And I’m on rubbish maternity pay!!!! Pass me the baileys!! (But not too much cos looking after an 8 month old obviously)

Why has he not bought you a present? What did he say when you gave him his gift? Is he always a dick to you?

Don't have another child with him. He won't improve with age.
