Hi Everyone.

AIBU to feel a bit guilty at taking a new, full priced pair of boots back after seeing them at half price in the sale?
To clarify, I bought two pairs, same style, different colours and they both fit perfectly but an email today reminded me of their sale. I then noticed that one pair were half price, so I took that pair back and got a full refund then ordered the same pair at the lesser price.
I really hate paying full price for something I love, only to find it reduced two weeks later.
Another pair of boots is now 1/3 off but although unworn, the 30 days return date stipulated has elapsed.
Have you ever kicked yourself for not waiting a few weeks? I should have thought ahead about after Christmas sales as they'll be gearing up for spring. 🙁

Most stores here will honor the sale price if it's within a month or so of the purchase date. Can you contact them and ask? I bought a purse at Macy's and the next week it was on sale for 30% off. I emailed them, and they got back to me within the hour, and had refunded the 30% to my account the next day. It's in their best interest to do it; I was so impressed with their customer service that now I look there first anytime I need to buy anything. I'm sure I've spent way more than what they refunded me back.

I have size 9 feet and a very long body. I’m difficult to dress. I have meant not to wait for sales, as anything that fits me is seldom left!

YANBU. I bought a dress just before Black Friday (not thinking) but the v nice sales assistant pre-empted this situation by taking 30% off (this wasn’t advertised or asked for).

YANBU, I would do this in a heartbeat.

Also, many shops are offering extended returns due to Christmas, I’m fairly sure you can take the second paid back for a refund too even though the 30 days has lapsed.
