To ask them if they've done a LTF as they've asked us?

DP and I are going to visit another couple today.
They had a baby a few months ago.
They've sent me a message to ask us to do a LFT before we go which I've said I'll do.
I feel rude asking them if they have also done one. But I feel I should. I am pregnant but haven't told them, and won't be telling them yet. Does it seem rude if I message back to ask if they've done one?

Not at all…
“Will do! I assume you’ve done one too?”

"My test's fine; what about yours?"

NoNameHere12 · 24/12/2021 10:09

Of course not, you can say your visiting an elderly couple over Xmas as your excuse if you feel out of place asking (which you shouldn’t do)

Loudestcat14 · 24/12/2021 10:09

Of course. Just say “ours is negative, have you done yours yet?”

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 24/12/2021 10:09

Absolutely fine to ask them!

Legomania · 24/12/2021 10:11

"Ours is negative, hope yours is too"

If you have already texted your results, just text them a couple of hours before you leave and say - just checking your tests also neg before we set off

Yes I'll do it like that. It can't be that unreasonable when they've asked us. I'll message them now. Thank you
