Good evening!

Shamelessly posting in AIBU for traffic.

Do any of you have any good websites/ hints and tricks for a holiday to Orlando, Florida (Disney/Universal etc)?

Is it best to go as a package or do things separately. Do I book park tickets before going or when we get there?

I've been twice as a child in the past and would love to take my DD currently 5. Looking to go in 2023!

TIA 🙏

Don’t go! It’s a bloody rip off at the moment. We go lots and what with Genie+, no dining plan, no magic express we won’t be going near the place for a long while (cancelled our 2022 trip) we are doing Tokyo Disney Sea instead!

Great for everything! Definitely buy park tickets in advance, there's often offers from Florida Tix. Look carefully at adding genie plus to your tickets, it's the new fast lass system.

Watch All Ears videos on YouTube about genie plus.

Package vs separate depends on number of people, time of year, where you want to stay etc.

Use the WDW prep school crowd calendar to find the best time to go, it might be cheap from here because it's term time but crazy busy there because it's a holiday or event.

But overall I can't recommend DIBB e nough, so many knowledgeable people & always happy to help

Probably worth booking tickets before . The uk rate for 2weeks is cheaper than it it would be in the states. Also the new genie+ lighting lane is cheaper for us aswell. Probably better off going to the dibb forum for more Info

ChimChimeny · 23/12/2021 13:37

Or what @thegreenlight said Grin

It definitely isn't as good as it used to be for perks/offers but if you haven't been before you won't know any different

Thanks all!
Do you mind me asking how much it cost you? What time of year/number of people/holiday length etc x

We use It's Orlando Time on Facebook rather than the dibb.

For us (2 adults, 3kids), we've found it's much more cost effective to stay on international drive or a villa with car hire. Current prices for car hire are stupidly expensive so we've booked international drive and will use hotel shuttle buses and the I-trolley/Uber for transport. We don't buy the Disney passes as we prefer seaworld & universal. We usually use floridatix and purchase the discovery cove ultimate plus universal 14 day tickets. Have a look at what parks you want to visit most of and then look at individual vs combo tickets. We do buy one/two day passes for specific Disney parks. These can be purchased on the app or undercover tourist before you go.

How long before this turns into a anti SeaWorld thread.

They do have some of the best rollercoasters

No doubt the anti seaworld lot will turn up soon enough.

We've seen enough bun fighting on the IOT Facebook about it. It's heavily moderated and all posts get deleted. For us it's a big part of our holiday and 100% agree about the best rollercoasters (except mako). We love the safari in Busch gardens too.
