Cabaret Cock Up

I have made a stupid mistake when I booked theatre tickets earlier in the year. I had presale notification for Cabaret with Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley. At the time I thought that it would be a great birthday present for my husband. I thought I had bought a ‘bundle’ package of a table for two with a glass of champagne and snacks included. The ticket cost £250 - so thought this was for two seats. I have now received my e-tickets and it looks like I just have one seat booked! These tickets now seem to be the hottest in town! The ticket is for 8th Jan.

The show on this date and most others is sold out.

What would you do?

Pretend I did not realise the mistake - go in together and hope on the night there may be a returned ticket even if we don’t sit together ?
Try and sell this ticket - am sure it would sell on viagogo and hope to get two tickets for another night?

Give the single ticket to husband and hope he gets sat with someone nice!

Keep ticket for myself - hope I get seated next to someone nice! And book something else for us both for his birthday - I think I will enjoy the show more than him anyway

I have tried contacting the ticket vendor as I did not think it was possible to purchase single tickets but not heard anything back yet.

I have form for making stupid mistakes booking things online
WWYD
Thanks for advice!

I would see if you can swap for two together with the vendor. Usually the theatres and main selling sites are great.

I would see if you can get two tickets.

Wow. If you think you'll enjoy it more why have you booked it for his birthday?

Just go alone and sit with a fellow fan Hmm

I'd sell the ticket and book something else for dh birthday.

Call the theatre and explain the situation, they will help if they can.
