To just burn the house down after norovirus?? (Obviously joking!)

Please help me work out how to stop the house being a sickness infected mess!! Everyone in the household has now had it me and my DD (4) were the last ones to catch it yesterday and although we are feeling better than we did yesterday we still feel pretty rough.

So my main question is do I start bleaching the house and washing the bedding ect today or do I wait till we no longer have the bug?? I'm desperate to get things clean but according to the nhs website you are contagious until 48 hours after the last time you are sick so that would be tomorrow morning! Don't want to do it all now and then have to re do it tomorrow?

Also what are the best products to use??

If you are desperate to clean, why don t you clean now and then wash sheets again?

That’s what I did

Clean sheets when feeling shite are mildly comforting

Oh, we just had this and just washed and tumbled sheets straight away… again and again. Largely because DD kept being sick on them! (Co-sleeps when poorly.)

But also because we got it in waves, so I washed after DD had it… then I had it, though we were all clear so did the final wash… then DP decided to get in on the action Hmm

Sod the environment and the electricity bill tbh and just have clean sheets constantly, it’s horrid enough having noro without having sweaty illness sheets as well

Hi hi we are in the exact same position, also co sleeping, and both my DD (16m) and DH have had D+V for the past four days! I'm totally exhausted and I've been washing sheets and towels non stop aaargh when will it end! I'm lucky not to have caught it (yet) but I'm suffering from vaccine booster side effects which basically have been just like morning sickness for me. Awful pregnancy flashbacks lol

This comment doesn't have a point, I just wanted to join in the co-commiserations lol

We just tried to do it as we went when we had this last week. Towels and sheets just constantly in a hot wash rotation. We still haven't got on top of the clean clothes mountain in spare room since.

Commiserations, it was bloody awful!

If you're all had it anyway just wash now when you want to.

Clean clean clean even as it’s still happening. Everything sprayed with dettol or Milton constantly, rooms, doors, anything that has been touched, toys clothes etc…

We’ve had it doing the rounds for about 7 weeks, myself & 4yo just can’t seem to shake it, every-time I think we are through it, it starts up again. Thankfully everyone else has recovered. It’s been a nightmare keeping on top of washing as we don’t have a dryer, but it has to be done.
