Last week I got sick of the mean messages being left in a group chat. I called the person out, let's call her Wilma because I'm fed up. I usually just ignore but enough is enough.
Clearly, they got annoyed and have set up another group chat as I haven't had a message since.
I wasn't nasty I just said I did t appreciate the message and know we are all tired but I have had enough.
I had individual texts from others in the group saying "well done" or "I just ignore her when she is being like that" but no-one said anything in my support on the messages that Wilma would see. I think they are all a bit scared of her.
I know I shouldn't be sad but these are my friends and it is Christmas.
Should I have just continued ignoring her behaviour, laughing it off? I don't think so but I do feel quite lonely.

Friends would be able to weather a comment like yours without resorting to childish tactics.

If they mean a lot to you you could message her directly and say you were tired. Then see if you’re allowed back in.

If not, although it’s hard they’ve shown their true colours and you’re better off without a group like that.

Nadine, is that you?

FreeBritnee · 22/12/2021 09:01

Just let them get on with it. They’ve done you a favour.

Get new friends? They sound like they have the collective mental age of 13.
