Or I'll tell you later.
NO! Tell me now. Instead my mind will be in over drive until you do! Anyone else hate this!

I hate this! The worst is by text, you can’t even try to read their face!!

Mindareno · 20/12/2021 15:31

Yeah totally agree.

SameToo · 20/12/2021 15:32

Yeah it’s super annoying.

MrMrsJones · 20/12/2021 15:33

Hate it hate it

I will speak to you Monday, said on a Friday at work. FFS what have I done now

SituationCritical · 20/12/2021 15:33

Oh that's the worse!

MedusasBadHairDay · 20/12/2021 15:35

Fucking hate this. Quickest way to make me angry.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 20/12/2021 15:42

Friend on facebook big reveal of something in 3 hours……… oops false alarm will be 3 months now 🙄

MsJaneAusten · 20/12/2021 15:48

Oh gawwwd yes. This. DP does it all the time and it drives me mad. Either say what you want to say now, or don’t say anything about it until later.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 20/12/2021 15:51

I agree - it sends my anxiety into over-drive. Just tell me what the issue is so I can prepare.

barbrahunter · 20/12/2021 16:00

Also the 'guess who I saw?' type texts.
Either tell me or don't bother me, I'm not interested in guessing games.

tiredanddangerous · 20/12/2021 16:05

Completely agree. Makes me incredibly anxious to the point where I won't sleep for days.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 20/12/2021 16:06

Yes this is unbelievably annoying

Tell me now or don’t say anything at all until you can tell me!

AndARiverBeneathYourFeet · 20/12/2021 16:46

The right answer is always "OK then". Drives them mad.
Never give them the attention they're craving (you'll know if they're the type).

Concestor · 20/12/2021 16:53

I have found my people! This drives me mad.

Bluntness100 · 20/12/2021 16:55

Yes I have a friend who does this, it’s super annoying. She will text and say I will tell you shortly I need to do x. Even when she started the convo. It’s really weird. “I need to tell you all about x” me. Ooh ok, is everything ok. Her.I will tell you later, I jist need to clean the bathroom first.

Ffs.

TheOriginalEmu · 20/12/2021 16:57

My ex will ring me from work and say ‘I need to talk to you later I don’t have time now’

Then why did you ring at all?! Spit it out you mushroom!

Freddiefox · 20/12/2021 16:58

Test back ‘yes I think we do’

Vapeyvapevape · 20/12/2021 17:00

Any question with the word guess in it is so frustrating!

Guess who I saw today ?
I don’t know
Go on have a guess
The Dalai Lama
No guess properly
Drives me mad !!

ANameChangeAgain · 20/12/2021 17:01

Its self indulgent, they want you on your toes.

YourHandInMyHand · 20/12/2021 17:04

Yes. People who do this clearly have never had an anxious thought in their entire lives. Sad

Mylee · 20/12/2021 17:11

My mum does this all the time and it infuriates me. She’ll message me when I’m at work asking if I can ring her later as she needs to ask something

The worst was when she messaged me saying ‘can you ring me as soon as you can please’. I didn’t see it for about an hour after she sent it. It was to let me know my dad had a stroke and had been rushed to hospital. Who the fuck texts about that!?

WonderfulYou · 20/12/2021 17:40

Arghhh yes!!
Either tell me or don’t tell me you need to tell me something, just wait until you actually tell me!!

DilemmaDelilah · 20/12/2021 19:58

I have done this.... But in my defence I was trying to break up with someone and didn't want to do it by email or text. What is really REALLY annoying was that he just wouldn't give me the opportunity to tell him and then he got angry that I hadn't told him sooner!
