To buy or not buy...

Posting here for traffic....
Got a friend whose children l always buy for.
She has got a newish partner who has a child that will be there on Christmas Day. I have never met the partner.
Do l need to buy this child who l have never met and probably never will meet a gift too? Bearing in mind the other two have got identical gifts and l would have to do a 15 mile round trip to get another one?
Or is it OK to just give said child a token gift? Or am l starting something l can never go back on?

Just call your friend and ask.
If I were here I’d either explain different present opening times so no issue, or I’d tell you I’d wrap something “from you”.
