Family refusing to do LFTs

All my friends, their families are doing LFTs before they get together at Christmas. I always do a LFT before I visit my parents. We have a family get together next week for Christmas - 10 of us - and my DH and I are the only ones who will do LFTs. Everyone else is just really dismissive and don't want to do them.

I'm not particularly worried about covid as I'm fit and healthy, but I still think it's the responsible thing to do. AIBU to do LFTs before a family get together (where my vulnerable parents will be)?

I think they are really selfish. It epitomises why the pandemic has gone on as long as it has when people won't do the most basic things to keep others safe. LFT's are free. Not painful - mildly uncomfortable at most. Easy to do. Take a maximum of 5 mins. There is literally no way they could be made easier or less intrusive. Yet people still won't bother.

I had my christmas party 2 weeks ago - they asked staff to do LFTs before coming. 2 people had to drop out last minute because they did the LFTs as asked despite feeling fine and having no symptoms and tested positive. complete shock to both of them. If they hadn't bothered that could have been 30odd of us infected.
