I post about a situation where I genuinely had no ill feeling and wanted a stress free resolution, trusted the people around me and in the end my decision had a positive outcome for all involved except for one unaffected paranoid s**t stirrer and I’m 86% wrong.

Eh? Sorry- I don't know what you're referring to, but AIBU is not a neutral place, very few places on the internet really are. I'm sorry you were miffed, but it's usually a pile on one way or another. About the o it way to not have a pile on is start it as a pity party. 'I know no one will care enough to respond to this but.......' seems to pull out positive responses. Chat sometimes goes better for people.

Meh - there’s a contingent of posters who just like to get the boot in. There’s some seriously ridiculous comments on lots of AIBU threads, but that’s just to be expected.
You don’t ever post on there to get people to agree with you - you post on there to get a variety of opinions and see things from a different perspective. Doing that does include just ignoring some posts that are rather ridiculous.

Meh, you asked other parents you didn't know for gossip on one of the kids, and then didn't like it when the other parents went weird on you. You were being unreasonable and the parents prob went weird wondering if you sought gossip about their own kids.
