Unpaid carer- school lockdown

Hi all
I’m a new poster so please be kind on me. I am so worried about schools closing again and home schooling. Since last lockdown my husband has suffered a significant life changing brain injury which means I am now his unpaid carer. I really want the children to go to school if there is a lockdown for all our mental health and just ability to function. Can any of you offer any advice. Will I be allowed to access school places

Sorry this isn’t very aibu, but personally I do not think I am being unreasonable! Thanks

Yes, absolutely. Schools have always stayed open for vulnerable children. It's unlikely there will be a further school closure, but if there is talk to your school about a place.

If you are really worried then you can discuss it now, but it's a rather unnecessary currently.

I think the most that's likely to happen with school closures is a short two week "circuit breaker". Your child would get a place in the school I teach in, as a vulnerable child. Talk to your child's head teacher or send an email with your concerns. I don't think you need to worry about your child getting a place. Flowers
