To eat the chicken tomorrow

DH bought wings from Tesco a few days ago, the use by date is today, the 18th, what I usually do is season them at night and eat the next day, I will season them today, have some, then can I leave them in the marinade until tomorrow and cook? Will they be bad since it's a day past the use by date?

Put them in the marinade and freeze them, you can cook them from frozen tomorrow.

They will be fine, just cook them thoroughly tomorrow. If there is garlic in your marinade so much the better as it’s anti bacterial.

I would never cook chicken from frozen as it might not get properly piping hot all the way through.
