Pregnant on Mat leave - what are my rights

NC and posting for traffic

So currently on Mat leave baby was born in May and was due to take 12 months, unexpectedly fallen pregnant and second baby due in June

Mat pay is stat no enhanced

Last stat Mat pay is January, Thinking of using 2021/22 holidays to technically return to work March / April /May and receive full pay then go back on Mat leave again

That will mean no pay in Feb but it's been mentioned no pay in Feb could cause issues with next Mat pay due to financial tax year ??

Any help / advise ??

Go back in Feb if you can and get paid for the holiday and get an extra month's work under your belt before going off again.

I'm reluctant to go back to actual work and have to send DD1 to nursery for only a few weeks by the time she settles will then have to take her back out as we can't send her to nursery when on Mat pay

This is why i was hoping to use all the holidays to return and bank that money without having to pay nursery fees and will help financially with the next Mat leave as this has been very unplanned (failed contraception)

I'm struggling to find anything on the no pay in Feb will cause problems with next Mat leave on Google , currently waiting for HR / Payroll to come back to me as they also don't know as not had to deal with someone falling pregnant whilst on Mat leave and they don't do anything quick anyway

I would ask how much holiday you can use in one go as some companies have policy about how many weeks you can take together.

It's possibly something to do with having to earn the minimum amount (is it £116 or something?) during weeks 17-25 of pregnancy as that's what they use to calculate your mat pay? HR should be able to advise you even if they have to ask around for the info
