Anyone else finding it hard to find wrapping paper that actually looks Christmassy? There's plenty of it but the ones I see are of animals/ dinosaurs or cartoon type things. Just want some festive paper, but can't find it anywhere. Hmm

Maybe you're too late and a lot of it is sold? FWIW this week I've been in asda, sainsburys, tesco, home bargains, b&m,m&s and boots and they all had Christmas paper such as Holly, Santa's, snowmen, Christmas trees, Robins etc.

girlmom21 · 14/12/2021 14:19

Primark and Aldi have loads of good Xmas paper

Ciaram55 · 14/12/2021 16:53

Thank you

I got 8 rolls from the Range back in October as from past experience the decent wrapping paper sells out quickly. Might be worth checking in the Range as they've probably got some in stock still

Hobbesmanc · 14/12/2021 16:56

Home sense had some gorgeous retro style Christmas paper last weekend

ParkheadParadise · 14/12/2021 16:58

B&M
Home Bargains
Both had lovely paper.

CheesyFootballsAreEvil · 14/12/2021 16:59

There was loads in sainsbos

Boofay · 14/12/2021 17:05

People realise that it's not environmentally friendly to buy non-recyclable wrapping paper, which the majority of wrapping paper is.
Buy coloured 'brown' paper and jazz it up with baker's twine and reusable decorations.

1forAll74 · 14/12/2021 17:19

Some decent newsagents usually have a good stock of all types of wrapping paper. The newsagent quite near me, in a little shopping precinct, has loads.

mbosnz · 14/12/2021 17:20

The best I've found is at the garden centre down the road, but that doesn't help you much!

The choice really is pretty dire this year. I really thought M&S were playing some sort of a Christmas joke, with their offerings!

SomethingBeginningWithX · 14/12/2021 17:26

M&S was shocking yesterday, there was only one that looked ok and it was £6 for one roll...

RevolutionRadio · 14/12/2021 17:45

Mine are all mismatched this year, I'm trying to use up the leftover paper from the last few years.

1967buglet · 14/12/2021 17:47

Museum Selection has a nice range…pretty Victoriana, etc. Also have bought brown paper and done potato prints on it, or just jazzed it up with nice ribbons.

Zeldaaa · 14/12/2021 17:53

The wrapping paper at M&S did not appeal to me at all this year.

We have bought some from paper chase instead. Mostly brown paper, but with some Christmasy pictures

londonrach · 14/12/2021 17:55

Tons everywhere... although less choice now than week ago

OfMinceAndMen · 14/12/2021 18:05

I've bought some lovely stuff from John Lewis today.

Agree! And it's a bit of a modern weird design! I've been hanging on for the good ones M&S usually do on the bigger rolls but they are really disappointing this year - definitely not been in stock and sold as I'm in there most days

thepastisanothercountry · 14/12/2021 18:17

We got ours from Lidl - good quality, properly Christmassy.

I'm also trying to use up bits left over from previous years. Ours is always mismatched.

Marmite27 · 14/12/2021 18:20

I saw some nice Christmas pudding paper in home bargains earlier

My presents are always mismatched. We always use anything left over from last year plus some new if needed. We now buy the matt, non-glittery, non-shiny stuff. Our local card shop has loads, charity shops often sell it too.
StarryNightSparkles · 14/12/2021 18:29

I got beautiful wrapping paper from B and Ms at the weekend. They are really traditional and elegant.

To wonder what's happened to Christmas wrapping paper.
peaceanddove · 14/12/2021 18:31

I always buy from John Lewis as I think it's lovely and thick (I refuse to try and wrap presents in flimsy, shitty paper). They still had plenty in their shop on Sunday. This year I've gone with a red/white and silver theme and re-using lots of gift bags from last year.

Ciaram55 · 15/12/2021 08:29

I managed to get some in a big Home Bargains last night. But there was only one traditional type, the rest were very unchristmassy. Smile

Where have you looked? I’ve seen normal christmas paper in John Lewis, sainsburys, m&s and paperchase in the last 2 weeks

JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 15/12/2021 08:34

It's ten days before Christmas, if you look at the Christmas boards they've been buying it since the summer, you've got no hope of getting the good stuff now.
