New job offer doesn't offer pension?

Hi all

Posting for traffic.
I've been offered a new job however it doesn't have a workplace pension until I've been there for a year- is this allowed?

Is that a reason for not taking the job?

Thanks

I think it is allowed as long as it would kick in after a year but most places I think offer after 3 months

Google auto enrolment. Employers can have a waiting period of up to 3 months to enrol an employee if they are eligible. You must be 22 years old and earning £10k pa to be automatically enrolled.

Auto enrolment rules mean they do have to offer you a pension and I'm almost sure it's less time than one year but not positive without googling it. Sounds like a pretty crappy workplace tbh, are you desperate to take the job?
