Cases are increasing. It is rare but prompt treatment has good results.
GOSH have just released this easy reference poster.

Thanks for this, I hadn't heard of it.

Thank you for this

This may be a stupid question - but that says “PIMS can be treated with medical help”.

Do they mean call your GP in the morning kind of medical help? Or do they mean go to A&E asap?
(Obviously severe symptoms of anything would require more action, I just mean if you suspect this, is it that it needs to be checked immediately)

Good post - a friend of mines daughter was rushed to hospital recently with suspected meningitis, it was PIMS. Like they say it is actually relatively easy to treat but scary as shit. Friends daughter is back playing football with her team now but the whole thing sounded terrifying

If you suspect then try and get a GP within the day , if not then 111 or a&e. Children can become severely unwell with it, but equally respond very well to early treatment.
It is thankfully rare but its something to consider if your child becomes unwell approximately 6 to 8 weeks following a positive covid test.
