To be pissed off with being scammed twice?

I don't know if i should be pissed off with myself or the online scammers or both.
I have done most of my xmas shopping online and have been scammed out of £130 in total. I bought a gilet from ultamoden (£30). I thought they were a legitimate company. Trust pilot says no.
I bought a £100 mirror from a website. Also scam. Both websites are very slick. Yes, i should have checked trust pot but part of me thinks that these "companies" should be found and stopped far quicker given the amount of tech we have nowadays.
My bank fraud portal online says they are dealing with a large number of cases so it can't just be me.

Well it shouldn’t be necessary to be so cautious but sadly it is

Caveat emptor. If you buy from dodgy websites or dodgy blokes at car boot sales it's not surprising if you get ripped off.

Use official retail websites from trusted names in future, not random brands with unknown names who ship from lord knows where around the world.

Hopefully the bank will come through.

It is really worrying. This is why I keep defaulting to Amazon as at least they will sort out any problems. Such a shame for the legitimate independants though.

Don't buy anything off a company advertised on facebook for a start.

You should get the money back from the bank.

There are lots of legitimate companies who sell through Facebook. Just make sure they either send you a PayPal invoice with a link to pay, or pay by PayPal goods and services .

The problem is that most of these companies are based overseas (n China usually) so there isn't a great deal that can be done from this end to cloise them down.

Ultamodan website states standard shipping times to the UK as 20-35 days, which should give you a clue. It also says that most of their stock is held in China...

A learn for you to use trust pilot before making a purchase definitely.
