Just felt really pointless and Rosie had never been mentioned before which I also found odd.

Is that Casualty done with until after Christmas?
I hope not, both programmes were odd, messy and difficult to follow I found.
I think I might have to fall back on Drama's old episodes of Casualty over Christmas.

Is Charlie still in it?

RoRoYoYo · 12/12/2021 01:23

I've watched Casualty since the very first episode however I think I'm going to stop. It's a shadow of its former self and feels like it's really lost its way.

I have not watched Casualty for years, but last Saturday and last night, I watched the programme.

My first thoughts were, 'What on earth is gong on?'. There was just too much high level drama for any plausible plot or storyline to develop. It was like the producers were trying to pack as many controversial situations in as possible, without considering whether any of it actually made sense.

We had someone rescuing asylum seeking children from imminent danger and evil foster carers, whilst tumbling down a cliff (or was he abseiling?) ; a 'deranged' mother who was intent on continuing to ruin her daughter's life and who may or may not have pushed her off a balcony, causing an emergency C- section (in which the deranged mother was present in the operating theatre) and the ultimate kidnapping of the baby before oxygen tanks explode because DM lit up a cigarette, and Charlie went flying (or did he?)...

It was just too much, and really it worked better as a comedy than a drama.

I mean a farcical comedy -

BashfulClam · 12/12/2021 09:49

Is that programme still going?…jeez!

Chr1stmasCarole · 12/12/2021 14:11

I know the bonkers mum walked out through the fire but did the baby survive? That confused me.
Also the whole, falling down a cliff rescuing Covid positive children to bring them to mum and put them in foster care storyline didn't resolve properly did it?

Maybe there's a follow on next week? I really hope that's not it for a Christmas special Confused

Very peculiar cinematography. I quite liked the 'end of days' influence but it really wasn't Casualty. Can't help but think more attention had been given to the atmospherics than the plotline.
