Workplace Anxiety

Hi all. Does anyone else dread returning to work after a weekend off or holiday? I feel tied up in knots of anxiety. I'm getting help with this but wondering how common it is?

I do! But I also have anxiety...

I think it's very common. I've had phases of it depending on how things are going at work.

Is this non-specific anxiety, or do particular things trigger it?

Have you thought about changing jobs - even just starting to look at options can make you feel better because you're doing something positive for yourself.

In the short term if there are particular things triggering you, it can be helpful to write a list of them and then put it out of sight until Monday morning. Remind yourself that whatever you are worrying about, there is nothing you can usefully do about it now.

I'm transferring to another job in about 12 weeks but the in between time feels so daunting. I am utterly preoccupied about things going wrong or people complaining about me, which is unlikely.
