To ask about your 60cm cooker that you love?

I wanted a range. There is not space for a range.

I'm considering the Rangemaster 60cm dual fuel pro. But I will accept any suggestions, gushing recommendations, or even cautionary warnings about cookers that disappointed.

I have the electric range master 60cm and it is a great cooker, it is quick to heat up and we have had no problems

Smeg 60cm. Looks beautiful, cooks well, fan noisy and stays on for a g e s. If this breaks I'll probably buy another just the same because it looks beautiful.

Interesting - Smegs don't always have the best reviews but they certainly are pretty. Maybe i should give them another look.

AEG with induction hob, a different style to range types but is very sleek looking and ours has been reliable and has loads of features. I'd replace with the same if it were to break.

We had a smeg double under counter oven and has hob
They are a bit noisy with the fan on... I leave the door open after I've switched it off to stop the fan going

Great oven though! Cooks perfectly

Noisiness seems to be a consistent issue with Smegs. Has anyone noticed this with a Rangemaster?

Watching - same dilemma

JenniferWooley · 11/12/2021 08:54

I have a smeg & it's not noisy - I love it! It looks like a mini range with the legs instead of base plate & it has the wok & coffee pot bits to put on the hob.

Wilkolampshade · 11/12/2021 09:20

I'd second Smegs too. The fan noise is present, for sure, but I quite like the way it's a clear indication the oven's working. Also, I spend a lot more time looking at my cooker than listening to it.

muddykneez · 11/12/2021 10:55

Our Smeg is about 6 years old and has had bits replaced a couple of times, turns on if you look at it, often has to be turned off at mains and doesn't work on main fan setting. But there is nothing else that comes close lookswise and agree with @Wilkolampshade that you spend more time looking at it than listening to it
(although in our case not that much difference because it takes so long to turn off). I'd still get another one!

Ours is the hotpoint ultima freestanding gas cooker which is in brushed steel finish its been in 18 months now and i love it its very efficient two ovens and cooks to perfection and easy to use, not much showing here but shows how it fits between the units

Update: I know you all seem devoted to your Smegs (and they are truly beautiful), but I am very pragmatic and I don't want noise or the hassle of repairs! I've ordered the Rangemaster!

@Isseywith3witchycats that one looks nice too...i think I was basically set on the Rangemaster Blush
