Life insurance - can they find out about parents health? AIBU to not ask parents

Hi All,

I am not close with my parents, but I have children and I want to get life insurance. I have been asked a bunch of questions about my parents health, and I don't know.

What do I do in this case? Top I have to ask them or can I just say I don't know?

I don't want to risk invalid insurance, no point in that, but also don't want to have to do that.

AIBU to just say I don't know?

Just say you don't know as not in contact. Adopted people would not know either so I'm sure they couldn't hold it against you. I'd hope not anyway.
