This is more a wwyd situation apologies.

I started a new job 2 months ago. I hate it. I've been offered a new job somewhere I've worked before, I know I like it and will be happy.
I have no contract at current job. It's in a school, I have one week left before xmas.
What and when should I tell them? What do I do in regards to my notice period as I dont officially have one as have no contract but I want to be fair and not just up and leave but it's awkward due to the christmas holidays.
HELP!

I’d tell them tomorrow give a weeks notice and say it’s not working out for you .

Yes, you need to give a week's notice as you have been working there more than a month. Though they really should have given you a written contract.

Just up and leave. Email your resignation on the last day of term (usually goes to the Bursar/Business Manager) and you'll be free for the New Year.

Their own fault for not issuing a contract. And they could feasibly and legally tell you on the last day of term - or the 23rd December, for that matter - not to bother coming back anyhow.

Tell them tomorrow. As a gesture of goodwill offer to stay until the end of term. Hopefully they won't want you to!

Thanks everyone. Just so awkward.
