To ask who I should save this furniture for?!

Advertised a piece of furniture for free on FB marketplace. I want to get rid of it asap. Had probably 35 messages enquiring.
First person agreed to come yesterday but then messaged last minute saying they couldn't come.
Another person said she'd come this morning, i messaged her at 1 asking if she was still coming. She said she was waiting for a mechanic to fix her car then would come over. Hasn't messaged since.

Then first person messages again just now asking if she can come tomorrow. Meanwhile the poxy thing is still sitting in my hall taking up space. I've had loads of other messages.

Who do I give it to????

First person to get to you gets it. I'd put this message to the 35 people

Tell them all first come first served.

God I hate selling stuff.

I normally message the first one to say if they haven’t responded by X time then I’ll offer to the next person on the list. I message the second person saying someone has said they’ll collect by tomorrow but if they don’t show, it’s theirs.

I had a friend with a child's rocking chair trying the same thing a few weeks ago with the same problems in the end she took down the ad , and reposted it a day or so later saying the chair would be available between x time and date a nd x time and date . First to arrive gets it . She got quite a few 'can you hold it for me ' msg but put her foot down and said no .

It went within 20 mis of the time slot been open .

In your position, the one waiting for a mechanic is unlikely to come this evening , I can't see many cars still been repaired at this time of the evening.

So I would let the other person have it under the very clear turn up at x time or you won't get it rule
