I'm late thirties, home alone. Are these worth my time or are they aimed more at teens/kids? I love a cheesy Christmas film!

They are great cheesy Christmas films IMO! They're not particularly "mature" but I wouldn't say aimed at a super young audience. Fun, easy watching which is what I like from a Christmas film!

BrickingIt44 · 07/12/2021 17:36

YWBU not to watch them! They are severely cheesy but in a good way.

time2tork · 07/12/2021 17:39

The first one is my fave! Cute, snowy, fairy light lit towns!
I've watched it 🤣 but I love cheesy Christmas films.

OlivePenderghast · 07/12/2021 17:39

I like them especially if you like a cheesy Christmas film!

AnneLovesGilbert · 07/12/2021 17:43

Get on it. The first one is epic.

Fernando072020 · 07/12/2021 17:44

I enjoyed the first, thought the second was quite rubbish and yet to watch the 3rd. I wasn't up for it but DH wants to to "complete the set" 😆

LuckyAmy1986 · 07/12/2021 17:45

Ooh thanks all, I know what I'll be doing tonight then! It's great that there's three of them too (if I enjoy the first one of course!!)

I preferred the Knight Before Christmas.

Shoxfordian · 07/12/2021 17:52

I’ve watched the first one; not convinced there’s enough for three but I’ll maybe give them a go another time

Sirzy · 07/12/2021 17:53

Brilliant cheese

Sirzy · 07/12/2021 17:53

@GlitchStitch

I preferred the Knight Before Christmas.
That was brilliant!
LuckyAmy1986 · 07/12/2021 17:55

I preferred the Knight Before Christmas another one for my list then!

Super cheesy & predictable but lovely films! Great if you just want something that's easy viewing 👍

GlitchStitch · 07/12/2021 17:57

Christmas Prince is also good and there are 3 of them too.

LuckyAmy1986 · 07/12/2021 18:33

Thanks, will check them out too

Subeccoo · 07/12/2021 18:48

They tick that box perfectly for you. Get onto all the Netflix shit-mas films and then start to look out for the canny crossovers 😉😉😉

PoleFairy · 07/12/2021 19:03

On Netflix I loved The Knight Before Christmas and The Princess Switch for pure cheese.

Actual decent xmas viewing: Let It Snow, Holidate and Dash and Lily

slashlover · 07/12/2021 19:11

I loved the third one!

ComDummings · 07/12/2021 19:12

They’re absolutely ridiculous but I love them. Pure cheesefest!

ComDummings · 07/12/2021 19:12

Also adding a thumbs up for Holidate

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 07/12/2021 19:15

Is Knight before Christmas the one set in Norwich Castle? I live near there and was far too distracted by the fact that Norwich is absolutely nothing like that, they would have been better making up a place then using a real one. But that is a tiny issue and probably only irritate the people who know the area.

Jingle Jangle on Netflix was partially shot in Norwich and that's good for a christmas film if you like musicals

LadyCleathStuart · 07/12/2021 19:38

I've just watched the 3rd and it was great, pure cheese all the way. Perfect for Christmas.

LuckyAmy1986 · 08/12/2021 08:53

Thank you all, it was great and just what I wanted! Cheese at it's best!

I have seen Holidate which I loved, will check out some others once I've watched the other two!

The new netflix Christmas film Love Hard is pure Christmas cheese crossed with chick flick.

middleager · 08/12/2021 09:00

I'm nearly 50 and have just binge watched all three.
