To be furious at this online clothes retailer

Please do redirect me if this is the wrong place for this question, but I’m at a loss!

I bought a few dresses from Coast Fashion a couple of weeks ago. They incorrectly charged me a couple of hundred for an order that never went through (never got a confirmation number or anything). They are really hard to get hold of and trying to get the money back is like getting blood from a stone.

Further to that, I ended up ordering a dress that turned out to be faulty (goodness knows why I went back). I sent it back and it has been showing in Hermes parcel tracker as ‘on its way to the retailer’ for about 10 days. Again, I’m not having any luck getting through to Coast. It feels impossible and I’m out of pocket by a few hundred.

Can anyone advise what I should do? It’s really stressing me out :(

Recall the funds via a visa dispute via your bank. Wait for coast to contact you.

I only use my Twitter account to contact companies. Always get a response whe I ‘tweet’ them. It seems nearly all of them use it as their main way of communicating nowadays. God knows why.

If you paid via PayPal, raise a dispute. Same if you paid via credit card. Otherwise, contact them via social media.

I think the return is not their fault if it hasn’t arrived yet. That one you will need to take up with Hermes

I just checked on Trust Pilot,its a scam site you wont get money from them.Try via your bank or credit card company.

What are you talking about, Coast have been around for years and are a legit business. They recently got bought by Boohoo which I’d say doesn’t bode well, but they are not a scam!

I've returned lots of items through Hermes and they always only say on its way to retailer and never delivered. It'll take around 3 weeks for them to process a refund I reckon (based on other retailers).

Thanks @NinaDefoe. I’ve done that! @Savoretti, as was free return, Hermes say that I need to go through the retailer. @Notonthenewrug can I dispute for the faulty Dress that I have returned as well? @Cantfindausernamethatsnottaken - they’re not a scam. They are just a disorganised mess!!

Coast brand are now owned by Boohoo so not the same company with good customer service as you may remember.

I think you probably need to give them 14 days at least for the return (and maybe take that up with Hermes) but do a charge back for the initial overcharge ASAP

Message them on Facebook, via private message, with your order numbers and the issues. I’ve found companies tend to respond faster there than via their complaints department.

WowStarsWow doesn't bode well for their quality, but Boohoos customer service and returns service are excellent.

Yes just do it for all. Money talks, they'll soon contact you when they realise.

Coast are a well known fashion brand, but Coast Fashion is a scam.

From what I can see the website for Coast is coastfashion.com so seems legit enough.

I would either pursue through PayPal or your bank through chargeback or contact on Twitter. Good luck OP!

message the twitter, they seem to respond there. send a message and tweet on all of there pictures until they reply

I have had a parcel marked as 'on its way' with hermes for about 10 days now. I just logged it as a query today to see what the story is. Maybe hermes have huge backlog.

Hermes are useless, I feel for you OP
