On the back of the other thread about manners. Try to organise a party at my house and one couple tried to pressurise me to invite some people( my family) as they had hosted for me in the past. I have only just been in a position to host as have moved from a tiny flat into a bigger house.
I love my family but wanted a friends only gathering with a few people and invite family over seperately.
Said couple tried imposing their party ideas onto me as they have always hosted. Fwiw they live in a massive house and love a bid do whereas i prefer a quiet gathering.
I apprechiate their hosting me in the past but imo now its my turn its my house...my party...my " rules."
Party now postponed.
