To pull DD & DS out of school positive cases?

notanotherschoolrun · 06/12/2021 13:50

Both nursery and reception class have positive cases, we're getting married on Thursday. I can't bare the thought of one of them catching it and having to call everything off.

Is it the right thing to do?

Yep, I'd do it for my own wedding.

Hope you have a llovely day, covid free, stress free.

TwoMuchTwoYoung · 06/12/2021 13:51

Yes definitely. Your wedding is pretty important!

Clymene · 06/12/2021 13:52

Nursery and reception for your own wedding? In a heartbeat!

Porcupineintherough · 06/12/2021 13:52

Hell yes. They are very young (not sitting gcses or anything) and it's your wedding!

Angel2702 · 06/12/2021 13:54

Yes for something as Important as a wedding without a doubt.

TheresaReynoldsOnLakeLorette · 06/12/2021 13:55

Yes I'd say so, I would do the same if were my wedding.

Mindymomo · 06/12/2021 13:55

notanotherschoolrun · 06/12/2021 14:03

Yes totally..they at an age where it doesn't matter and your own wedding means more. The school would totally understand and give you work. Hope wedding goes well XXX

BabyofMine · 06/12/2021 14:38

What age is the school age one? The nursery child is pull in a second. The one at school - will you get fined for keeping them off school? Are they compulsory school age yet?

Happy1982ish · 06/12/2021 14:40

For pretty much ANY scenario - I would not

But for my wedding - I would

Claireshh · 06/12/2021 14:40

100%!

ILoveMyMonkey · 06/12/2021 14:48

While I agree with you and would totally do the same I do think you’ve left it too late. Are they at school today? If so they may already have it and if they catch it on Tuesday or Wednesday then it’s unlikely they’ll be ill / showing symptoms by Thursday anyway. If they caught it last week you’re also too late.

So given all that, I’d actually just send them to school and spend the next too days pampering myself.

Letsgetquizzy · 06/12/2021 14:48

I came on to say no.

But having read your post, I absolutely would.

Hope it all goes well.

livingthegoodlife · 06/12/2021 14:48

In your situation, absolutely yes.

HelplesslyHoping · 06/12/2021 14:49

They're both in EYFS so don't need to be in nursery or school, the school won't mind at all

LittleGwyneth · 06/12/2021 14:56

1000% yes, do it.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 06/12/2021 14:58

For your own wedding yes!

For most things I’d say no, but that’s defo a good reason

TheYearOfSmallThings · 06/12/2021 14:58

Yes! Definitely!

God, the thought of having to reorganize a wedding (shudder)

SkateboardInTheNet · 06/12/2021 15:01

Definitely without a moment’s hesitation - and I’m really not a “pull them out” person usually.
