Ds didn't have a birthday party for his 8th due to covid, but his 7th was a party at the house with friends over and a few games (never again!) and his 9th was a pool party (hired the pool for an hour and they had the pool floats and an inflatable in it) then had a buffet afterwards it was a huge hit!

We went tobogganing. It was great fun! Lots of DS's friends had laser tag parties, which were also very popular.

Bowling party

Ds1 took some friends karting. Ds2 would have had a gaming party if covid hadn't got in the way.

My oldest didn’t have an 8th party as the previous year (soft play party) it had been such a hassle chasing RSVPs for his party and his brother’s 6th birthday (games and party food in a local hall) that the next year I couldn’t stand the thought of organising anything! But the year he was 9 we had a dodgeball party in the local leisure centre. His younger brother had a trampolining party the year he turned 8.

One of mine has just turned 8. We had a bowling party. She has also attended a cinema party, trampolining, climbing, Ninja Warrior U.K and a ‘spa’ party where they had their nails done and afternoon tea (all 8th birthday parties).

Bushcraft party!

Bowling - ran itself really. We didn't do the "birthday package" as we only took 6 of them, which was too few, but the place were fine about me bringing the birthday cake in.

Trampoline park! It was great Smile

Harry Potter party. I enjoyed it! The kids had a Sorting Hat piñata with house badges in that separated them into teams then we played games for house points. Had good decorations and a chocolate fountain. They got their party bag when they arrived which was a witches hat, glasses and wand.

Sleepover . 7 girls altogether . Loads of fun, games , disco in the living room . Teepee in the garden with cinema set up. They loved it. Spent very little compared to previous years and DD had ten times more fun.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 03/12/2021 22:51

Bowling - invited too many, turned out they weren't old enough to wait nicely and take turns for the whole game. Not one of my favourite parties although Dd loved it.

We're considering trampoline park for DD as she has friends ranging from 7 up to about 10 so think this would suit them all.
