A large overnight or tote type bag, any recommendations?

I don't want to spend much. £30 probably tops. But, i need an overnight bag and would rather it not be a bag for life. I just cant find anything that isn't either an oversized handbag or basically a laundry bag.

For £30 you might be better looking at gym bags? They're fair sized and could probably do an overnight amount of things!

Thank you. I am stuck in amazon. Any other website ideas? Everything i find looks fit for a saga trip.

How big does it have to be. Is it for a trip or for storage.

Bensimon bags are cool and in your price range

We have a few of this type of bag that we use for weekends away and dd uses a them for sleepovers. They're surprisingly hard wearing but very light and I like that they're washable www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B096X963HW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_X35KRTC0VVQ5GWH314MT?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

coodawoodashooda · 03/12/2021 19:51

I would like to use it for weekends away after. Im a single mum trying to upgrade my slob atire so don't want to buy anything that looks too cheap and, well, cheap.

Have you had a look on ebay?

coodawoodashooda · 03/12/2021 19:54

I don't get on very well with ebay. I find it very overwhelming.

I have a really nice brightly coloured one I got recently as a gym bag, which I think would be nice as an overnight bag.

Look at Day Birger et Mikkelson bags. Not expensive and amazing lightweight quality. I bought one a couple of years ago for about £40 I think and have used it for every overnight, carry on, taken it to the beach a million times and it still looks amazing.

getsanta · 03/12/2021 19:58

I think the bags are actually just called DAY ET.

My friend bought a Cath Kidston weekend bag from Bicester Village for around £20. Might be able to find some similar bargains on ebay or in their sale?

KissedintheDark · 03/12/2021 20:00

Something like this size.

I have one of these, it’s lovely.

tallduckandhandsome · 03/12/2021 20:04

I bought this was £7.50 on dorothy perkins. It’s massive! Think it will go down in price again.

I need to stay off these topics...I've just bought an overnight bag
and I don't even go anywhere further than Tesco. Smile

RemorselessNorsemen · 03/12/2021 20:09

@Nameswaptime

Seconded. I have a couple of these and they fold into a pouch, which makes storing them easy as well. Great bags.
Oohhaveabanana · 03/12/2021 20:10

How about something like this...

They also do them in camo print and being able to personalise it is a nice touch. I have the smaller version and it's great quality.

MrsMcCluskeysCat · 03/12/2021 20:13

I have this that I bought for a lot more than £19 a few years ago in Debenhams!

Not particularly glamorous but a good size and very practical.

Tripp hold-all. I have 2 and they have lasted years so far
