Is there an easy and straightforward day 2 PCR test?

Anywhere? The website is driving DH mad. Nothing is straightforward. He needs a test with a quick turnaround.

I guess it depends where you live. Both my children needed PCRs this week, there was a local drive through site and we got the results back in less than 24 hours. I did have to attempt booking twice as the first time it kicked me back to the beginning saying "Timeslot no longer available".

I was looking at this the other day. For ease, have a look at Lloyds Chemist. Obviously it will cost....

Heathrow. Live in central London. My last 2 day test was returned via 24 hour tracked Royal Mail and it took 8 days to get the results as it sat in Croydon for a week.

Randox were really quick in the summer. We got the results within 48 hours. And you don't have to wait until day 2 - you just have to do the test by day 2. We did ours at the airport and dropped them off on our way home.

Some airports may have testing venues on site now.

My sister flew into Heathrow and got hers done at the airport itself.

I was back home by the time the result came through. He doesn’t want to self isolate for longer than necessary (who does?). We can do a PCR where we live and get the result in 15 minutes to 6 hours depending on what you pay. None of this 24-48 hour shit.

In fairness they tend to get it back a lot faster than 24h but they give that time frame to cover themselves

I booked express test - can have it done at heathrow on arrival.

Arrival at Heathrow. Results about 3 hours.

We did one as soon as we arrived… test site was in the airport. It was with Randox. Did it at 10am and had the results by 8pm.
