To want to know where my ndn have gone?

NDN have caused us utter hell for the past 3 years (they've lived here noisily for much longer but it has ramped up hugely in this time)..We're in a paper thin walled semi detached and we have endured endless loud music and parties and it has been truly awful..No amount of speaking to them made any difference and they have never cared that their actions made life hellish for us..

They are a DM, DF, DD1 (teens), DD2 (infants age)
For the past few years they have also had a nephew living with them

Then all of a sudden out of the blue about 3 months ago..silence. DM, DF, and teen DD are not there (I know 100% because I can hear them whenever they are there)

Now..there is a man living there who I believe is the father of the nephew. And I have spotted the youngest DD outside the house around school finish time with other kids I don't recognise, so she is still around.

There was also a full renovation..and I mean full: whole house, in March this year.

AIBU to be hoping and praying they have moved out and swapped houses with their quiet and considerate brother? Has anyone elses neighbour's ever disssappeared like this!!? They aren't from the uk so I think a few more possibilites?

The thing is I am soooo happy they are not there..but Im now finding myself feeling anxious and listening to see if they have come back! I also dont want to ask where theyve gone incase he says they are back tomorrow and I'll be in bits!..

I'd strike up a friendly conversation and drop it in. Better off knowing than not knowing!

Go and make friends with the quiet family member now and you may have an ally later.

Better to know now if they are coming back.

I’d ask. Seems the easiest way to find out.

I'd make the most of the quiet and just hope it is permanent 🤞 I wish my neighbours would just disappear... The husband has gone temporarily as he's in prison, so another 10 years or so before he's back. Fog horn wife and anger management son are still there sadly...
