To show kindness and patience with regards to delayed delivery times. That they should stop fobbing you off/lying to you?

I ordered something last Saturday. Received email confirmation. Opted for standard 5-7 day delivery. All good it would arrive on my day off and I'm.off a few days after.

I then received an email to say order would arrive separately . Again not that bothers.

Received another email this Saturday just gone ti say there would be a 24 hour delay.

24 hour delay from when as I had no delivery date?

So contacted them via live chat which had standard message apear saying there was a 48 hour delay. So which is it 24 hours or 48 hours ?

Anyway, spoke to Someone on.live chat who kindly checked and said that it should be with me Monday. Great. Perfect. So I periodically over the weekend checked the tracking info on the courier email. Which stayed at the " we r expecting it stage "

Waited in Monday and nothing.

Tried live chat again this morning who told me it's been dispatched and to wait 24 hours for another update.

Does that mean it wasn't dispatched when I was told Monday? Courier info still says expecting it.

I've had no email to say its been dispatched.

I have no issue waiting however I dont appreciate being given the run around.

Probably would been better off with amazon after all this

I've had a lot of this, sometimes it goes from awaiting parcel to delivery happening that day depending on the courier. My house is pretty much always occupied though so its not been a bother. But yes, if you know that dates are going to be longer, just say upfront and avoid complaints.

With shopping online there is always a risk of delayed delivery so even though its shite its a situation where it is what it is.

Shop in store for items that you need by a specific date to avoid this happening again, although that's assuming its a smallish item. If its furniture or something I would order online.

So frustrating for you though 😕

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/11/2021 09:23

Thankfully it's not an urgent item or something thats a gift.

I jabe however ordered from other people who despite not making any delivery promises have managed to email , dispatch and have their product arrive days ago even though they were all ordered at the same time.

I'm not sure whether to be relieved I didn't pay for named day delivery as I'd clearly not have got it. Or pissed I didn't order mamed day cos they might have gotten their arse in gear.

Guess I will never know.

Frustratingly it's hard to buy in person when half the shops we had have closed down. I ended up travelling 50 miles to see something I wanted to buy as it was expensive and didn't want to make a mistake. There was one in stock according to the website and no reservations possible. So I got there and couldn't find it, a staff member checked the stock room and nope, nothing there.

Ended up buying an alternative that I wasn't really that happy with in the end.

Shopping is just hard all round I think unless you live in a big place and have lots of time.

Also incredibly frustrating that they all push you online by having no stock in store and then fail to deliver Hmm

And I have to say that it is also incredibly annoying that they are abke to send, repeatedly, often before you have even received items, emails asking fir feed back and offering promotions. Yet the info u want. Like delivery details. Tumbleweed

I'm off to collect it shortly but don't give me a time and day to aim for then change it
