To buy an outdoor table tennis table in Scotland?

My boys would love one for xmas but don’t really have space indoors. DH thinks there’s too much wind to play table tennis outdoors in the UK and they wouldn’t get the use of it but I’m sure there must be plenty days it would be fine. What do you think?

If you run out of pingpong balls you could use snow. You’d barely notice…

Still no power so I might be a tiny bit contrary 🥶 😏

Nothing wrong with the idea but not as a Christmas present, they would not enjoy it much for months.

DS plays in a TT league in Scotland so can play well. The least wee bit of wind and the ball is gone. Even on holiday in Spain it's never that great either. I thought your DC would just end up totally frustrated

Depends on how sheltered your garden is. We live on a hill, so it's windy, but we have a corner of the garden that is sheltered. The TT table is there and we use it all year round.

Well I still think it could be worth it.

Like most of the UK, there will be good and bad days for table tennis, o would have thought there are more good than bad days.

My kids have one in Scotland in a sheltered covered part of the garden and it’s great. Used lots. Is there any room in your garden to cover it/ block any wind a wee bit?
