Agreed. Hopefully it's on its way.

PAFMO · 29/11/2021 15:49

Surely now the govt has said they can have 2 jabs, they'll follow it by updating their sodding system to show it...signed anyway.

DorotheaDiamond · 29/11/2021 16:08

I don’t trust the government to do anything that sensible…let’s get this petition signed so that they get some more pressure to do it!

Bin off passes instead

DorotheaDiamond · 29/11/2021 16:35

if you can get all the other countries to bin them off too then fine!

Or, here's an idea! We could join the EU Covid pass scheme and have the same one as the other countries...except we were invited to do just that and Mr Superior Pifflewaffle said Britain didn't need or want to.
ColinTheKoala · 29/11/2021 17:16

I thought that the UK pass was compatible with the EU one...but not for 12-15 year olds as they are only vaccinated once. That's the point, isn't it? They need to be vaccinated twice and be able to access a covid pass.

Have you got the source for this? I can only find JCVI recommendation.
DorotheaDiamond · 29/11/2021 18:09

The NHS app pass is fully compatible with the eu Covid pass scheme in the same way all the other eu countries passes are…it’s just that you can’t show a pass if you are under 16.

It’s not a brexit thing - it’s a government decision not to make the pass available to under 16…which they could have done if we were still in the eu.

PAFMO · 29/11/2021 18:17

@InTheLabyrinth
The govt has announced it will accept the JCVI advice. It's all over the news.

The NHS pass is accepted as equivalent to the EU pass. The UK, despite no longer being part of the EU was invited to be part of the Covid Digital Pass rollout back in the day but turned it down. Had they decided to participate, then the kids that have had one jab or two would have automatically had passes assigned to them like EU teens all do. So it kind of is a Brexit thing, in that the UK govt decided to do its own pass and not give it to teenagers even if vaccinated.

Some of us have double vaxxed DCs

CasparsWineBar · 29/11/2021 19:47

Signed.

If 12-15s are double vaccinated they should be able to evidence this e.g if they are traveling to a country which requires kids age 12-15 to be double vaccinated to enter the country or use facilities like restaurants within that country.

Wakemeuuuup · 29/11/2021 21:03

Signed. It's ridiculous that they can't prove their status

middleager · 29/11/2021 21:07

Done!

TheHobbitMum · 29/11/2021 21:07

Signed, utterly ridiculous they can't access prove of vaccination. This could mean another years delay to our much wanted holiday in Feb, I hope the gov see sense and make it fully accessible

Darbs76 · 29/11/2021 21:18

Hope so. We went to Poland last week for my brothers wedding, and it was such a worry if we would get in as my DD & DS could only gain entry without 7 days quarantine if had Covid in last 6 months (which they did), but it said to provide evidence of this. Fine for DS as he’s 17, but we only had the NHS email. Thankfully they accepted it but it was a stress. Least this will make travel easier but again need the NHS app to show the blooming jabs!
