I recently realised I would like a friendship similar to one that ended last year but without the bad bits. I want someone I can go out to lunch with, coffee or a walk most weeks. Just need some female company thats not my DDs.

I would never enter a friendship having expectations of that person, or that person having expectations of me.

Is there anyone in particular you think you'd like to be friends with?

If not, I believe there are friendship apps. Bumble friends maybe?

Meet up is good & there's one that Mumsnet has taken over too.

No, I don’t think so. Will take a look.

Where are you based?

Do you have hobbies? Do you work or have neighbours or acquaintance that you nod & say hello to occasionally? The best way to do it is to join a few clubs or the gym and let things develop organically l volunteer and have made some friends through the charity I work with. Don't go in with a plan, just see people in lots of different settings and choose people who aren't drama magnets. Keep it all light and casual to start with.
