Italian restaurants in Rome - recommendations please

Please forgive my posting in AIBU for traffic. I am looking for recommendations for restaurants in Rome. We are looking for beautiful surroundings and sublime Italian food but haven't been to Rome for donkeys years. This is for a special celebration dinner so not too worried about cost but must be traditional Italian cuisine. We've looked on trip advisor but most of the top 10 are cafe type places. Thanks in advance for any help you can give with this.

The best food we had in Rome, and we ate well, was in a tiny bar next to our apartment, local wine, bread ham and cheese…

We loved Ristorante Nerone. Ate there a couple of times about 3 years ago. Beautiful place, fabulous food, lovely staff (wonderful wine!)

Oh thank you - we're looking at these now.

Taverna Le Coppelle. Excuse the spelling. It’s just set back from the pantheon I think I ate there once a week at least when I lived there.

We had a place called carbonara recommended to us and it was lovely, one of back streets near the Coliseum

We stayed at the Hotel Eden. It was gorgeous with an excellent roof top bar/restaurant which non guests can use. A perfect place for a celebratory pre dinner drink and/or dinner.

Stay away from La Tavernetta, near the trevi fountain. Look it up on trip advisor x

Bramble bar
