I was pissed off the other day when I had a miserable chain letter relating to the graphic death of James Bulger- I was so angry. Whats the point in sending this shit?

Then another one about about a muslim woman in Tescos and a man whose son is serving in Iraq having a 'to do' at the checkout. WTF?

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2007 10:19

I have had the jamie bulger one, one about a 3yr old boy being abused by his dad(i think, I didnt read it) one about women being raped and more. I changed my status to 'Lorayn is pissed off with these stupid chain mails, are you lot fucking dumb? I dont want the details of jamie bulgers death and the guys are already free!!!'
I havent had one since.

tiredemma · 16/12/2007 10:20

Im going to do that now! Good idea.

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2007 10:25

Might seem rude but it's better than deleting them!! I did have one friend leave me a comment saying she wished she had been brave enough to do it as it had bothered her too.

tiredemma · 16/12/2007 10:30

just changed mine - it says - im politely requesting that you refrain from forwarding me chain emails detailing the graphic death of James Bulger. ta.

reading the forward again makes me laugh- it is clearly intended to stir up those in Australia.

jinglebells2shoessmells · 16/12/2007 11:38

i put it in my status. that if you send me one I will delete you. so did.

I've had things like that in my MSN name before, 'if you blah blah I will delete you'.

HarkThegeekymummySings · 16/12/2007 13:36

like I said on the James Bulger thread, I've deleted the funwall and superwall. Chain emails of any type do my nut in. Tis a shame cos I used to get some decent music videos and so on, but chain emails/messages irk me so!

dirtygertiefromnumber30 · 16/12/2007 13:45

same here geekymummy. I dont have the funwall / superwall for exactly that reason. Dont get the mentality of people who forward every type of shite that they receive!

YuleLoveHekateAtSolstice · 16/12/2007 18:33

You need the email that was sent to me the other day!!!

here it is

PrincessSnowLife · 16/12/2007 18:44

some of those chain letter things that come up on superwall and such like are qute sneaky because they tell you to click on a button under the picture and they automatically forward to all your fb friends. I just delete them (the postings) straight away. A lot of people don't even realise that they have passed them on.

emjhill · 16/12/2007 19:08

you all need to join the group my friend set up serch for "i FUCKING hate chain letters!" Dan anderson is the creature!!
people see the group and think mmmmmmmmm!

WatsIsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 16/12/2007 19:11

Theres a fb group that you can join called stop the chain emails!

I just delete them if i get them, dont even bother reading!!

WatsIsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 16/12/2007 19:12

Sorry, the name is ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, THE CHAIN MAIL HAS TO STOP, eugh, caps

i hate that i get an email saying 'so and so ahs sent you a message. and being a bit sad i think ' oh maybe they have something interesting to say' and then my heart sinks when i see it's just another generic chain post. it's like communication without the communication part.

WatsIsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 16/12/2007 19:24

I've stopped all the email notifications, they were driving me mad

lazawreath · 16/12/2007 19:33

A couple of friends keep sending me them, and they always have sickly titles like 'im filling up'
I also keep getting invites for funwalls, likeness, etc and one girl even sent me a 'what kind of kisser are you?' invite. None of her bloody business, the dirty fecker.

purpleduck · 16/12/2007 19:38

a friend of mine joined the " I DON'T CARE IF I DIE I'M NOT FORWARDING YOUR FUCKING EMAIL" club thing on facebook. LOLOLOL!!!

SeaShells · 16/12/2007 19:41

It's so annoying, I have some great friends who actually post hilarious and interesting videos that they know I will love, then so many fools who forward these awfull chain messages, horrid ones about child abuse/james bulger/missing kids etc, most of them are years and years old and most of them are hoaxes anyway or innacurate. Drives me insane, if it wasn't for the brill things I receive from a smallnumber of my friends and family, I would just get rid of funwall/superwall. I do sometimes wonder why on earth I would be friends with these chain forwarding morons anyway and am considering deleting the ones who never actually have any contact except for these daft chain messages!
There are some great groups against chain messages on there, one especially called 'I don't care if I die at midnight,I refuse to forward your chain message' something like that anyway, there are also some great sarcastic chain messages doing the rounds, poking fun at them, maybe send one like this to the persistent chain senders as a subtle hint?
