I work nights (when I'm actually in work
And not recovering from surgery) our bedroom faces the sun what feels like all fucking day. I've tried blackout curtains and a groblind which was a nightmare because it kept falling off! I'm one of those weirdos that needs complete pitch blackness to sleep, especially in the day so once I turn over and see any kind of light I'm awake which is useless when it's 11am and I'm in work at 7, having finished at 8am!

I bought some BlocBlinds after looking at old threads on here, I thought they were really expensive but if they work it would be worth it.

I measured the window wrong first time round but I paid extra for measure protect (best £10 ever)! So I emailed them and they arranged a courier to pick it up, remade the entire blind as it was 5cm too short Blush. Resent out a new blind at no cost to me.

Dh fitted it today in about 30 mins and now it's pitch black in our bedroom instead of being able to see the streetlight outside! I can't see my face in front of my face! The real test will be tomorrow in the day but I love it! It's like a velux blind for a normal window!

This is not an ad btw I bloody wish they had paid me to get one as it was pricey but it was worth it! When we have a baby we'll be putting one in the nursery 100%

I can't see my face in front of my face!

I'm pretty sure you must mean your hand unless you have kinky ceiling mirrors? 😂😂

Sounds good though. I take it an eye mask didn't work?

Haha I did mean my hand in front of my face BlushI got too excited! I did wear one but I didn't like the feeling of it on my face which is dead helpful!

I know what you mean. I tried an eye mask once on holiday because the hotel curtains were weirdly thin.

But it was really uncomfortable and kept slipping around.

@WorraLiberty it would have been a lot cheaper if I'd managed to wear one but oh well after 19 months of a groblind this feels like heaven!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow then!
