My maths is useless, can anyone let me know how much a salary of £40k for 37.5 hours would be if I were to cut my hours to 15?

Very grateful for any help.

15737.5=40% so 40%of the salary
I'll need to check the number, I've forgotten 😂

HarrietsChariot · 24/11/2021 10:37

£16K

£16k

15/37.5 that should say is 40%

£40 000 x 40%= & 16,000

Alldressedup · 24/11/2021 10:40

(40/37.5) x 15 = £16k

But remember your take home would not work on the same calculation as you would still get your personal allowance so a smaller proportion of your pay is subject to tax.

16k.

But you'll be taxed less so take home a lot more than 40% of your current net

Thank you, you amazing lot!! Grin

www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/prorata.php

Put your figures in here (tax code, pension etc) and it will tell you how much you'll take home as well.
