Has anyone of you been to Peppa Pig World?

Vote YABU if you have been to Peppa Pig World, if Peppa Pig is your kind of place (and if you believe that it exemplifies the best of UK Creativity so much so that no government, no Whitehall Civil Servant could have ever conceived of someone so amazing as Peppa!)?
Vote YANBU if you have never been to Peppa Pig World (and don't understand what on earth Boris is on about)?

Should we now all go on pilgrimages to Peppa Pig World now that our dear PM has praised it so?

Lol no it sounds like my idea of hell on earth and with 3 kids, be like when I say I’ve watched plenty of peppa pig. Peppa pig is a presumptuous little so and so IMO.

onlychildhamster · 22/11/2021 14:30

@Cheerbear24 but Boris says we must go, it is that good! It is his kind of place!

Who would have thought!

They have very safe streets, discipline in schools, heavy emphasis on mass transit systems, even though they are stereotypical about Daddy pig- Boris Johnson, November 2021.

I live close to it and have been a couple of times. It’s fun for the kids.

DixonD · 22/11/2021 14:34

It’s also inside a larger park (Paultons) where the rides are faster 😄

ThePoisonousMushroom · 22/11/2021 14:35

I’ve been, it was fun. My 2 year old loved it. Don’t have any interest in what Boris thinks about it though!

Pippa12 · 22/11/2021 14:39

I took my DD, she’s 9 and still remembers it now. I was impressed with it, the children found it magical.

Borris has young children, I probably gushed about it when I got back as I was so pleased my little one had enjoyed it so much! Especially as we live in the north west and my DH whinged a lot about the travel!

onlychildhamster · 22/11/2021 14:44

@ThePoisonousMushroom I thought that sharing this clip of Boris giving his Peppa CBI speech would be much better than yet another thread moaning about why our PM is so awful.

The clip is self explanatory surely.

It's the 7th circle of hell 🤣

Paulton's Park, incorporating Peppa Pig World is ace. Last went 6 years ago (DDs too old now). Theme park aimed at primary age or lower. Loads of fab rides, lovely grounds, penguins.
Free if you are

Montecristocount · 22/11/2021 14:56

It is actually really good. As much as I hate to agree with Boris Grin I never miss a chance to tell people how much better it is than legoland or Alton towers 😂

Oldnews · 22/11/2021 15:01

It really is very good. Probably not PM speech fodder good, but maybe good enough to tell your neighbours with small children good.

S2617 · 22/11/2021 15:14

It is an amazing clean place, very well maintained. Only thing which lets it down like all the other theme parks is the food. Bring your own.

Helendee · 22/11/2021 15:17

It’s brilliant, great fun. I can’t fault it.

Bazookapie · 22/11/2021 15:39

Much the best theme park for younger children, with a few rides suitable for older siblings too. Clean, beautifully maintained - have been a few times with various grandchildren.

MedusasBadHairDay · 22/11/2021 15:44

After being subjected to hours upon relentless hours of the bloody programme, there's no way in earth I'd willingly go anywhere near Peppa Pig world

ZittiEBuoni · 22/11/2021 15:47

I didn't vote because, while I've been to Peppa Pig World and thought it pretty good (though my dc were already too old really and preferred the rest of the park) I really don't think it represents the very BEST of British creativity. Many of the very best British creatives are losing their jobs thanks to Brexit slash Covid, so I can't think that Boris values them that highly.

GaspingGekko · 22/11/2021 15:51

I watched that speech live and have to admit I had literally no idea what he was on about.

He lost his way a few times earlier on, seemed to have mixed up his notes or something, and I had to presume that he was just ad libbing and trying to come up with some witty conclusion on the spot.

IpanemaPeaHen · 22/11/2021 15:52

Was Boris visiting with his grandchildren?

onlychildhamster · 22/11/2021 15:53

@IpanemaPeaHen I dont think he has any grand kids, he was visiting with his son with Carrie, Wilfie. They have another on the way. Wilfie is a toddler.

Loved it, clean, fun and well laid out. Well worth going.

noblegiraffe · 22/11/2021 16:02

Peppa Pig World, with its giant Peppa towering over everything feels like it’s just waiting for Moses to get back from the mountain, break the stone tablets and tell everyone off for worshipping false idols.

DillonPanthersTexas · 22/11/2021 16:04

When you look at Pepper in person from head on, does she have four eyes?

BouncersDream · 22/11/2021 16:19

My two loved it. 4 and 6 at the time, and the 6 YO loved it the most, despite having had no interest in Peppa Pig for a couple of years. It was like he was 2 years younger for the day, and was lovely to see. Some decent rides outside of PP world too, in the rest of Paulton's Park. And it has a nice family-run feel to it. Lovely and clean and not too commercial.
