Does my partner really not understand how annoying it is for me to get up with our two children at 6 am every day and he stays in bed until lunchtime unless he’s starting work early then miraculously he can get up early? Does he not understand how annoying this is even though I’ve said a million times or does he just not care?

Send the dc in to wake him up...

In that case, this goes beyond 'annoying' and way in to utterly unfair and unacceptable territory.

I worked with a woman whose husband had never, not once, got up with their early-riser children and they were, at the time, 4 and 2. I lost contact with her when I left the job but I heard recently that they are now divorced. Am not shocked.

He's a dick.
