To wonder why ‘The Jean Genie’ loved chimney stacks?

Recently watched TOTP 2, or similar, and enjoyed watching The Jean Genie video with David Bowie and (my recent discovery of the other person in this video) Cyrinda Foxe!

Apparently David Bowie wrote this for her one night, while they were staying in a hotel in NY!

They had a brief fling and he asked her to star in the video! She was stunning!

I’ve always sang along to this song as follows…

The wonderful Cyrinda died in 2002 - only 50 years old.

@FlorrieLindley I know I was reading about her recently (on the back of watching the video) and read that she died of a brain tumour. So very sad , 50 is no age.

She seemed to have had a troubled past, had a daughter with Steven Tyler but he left them during his ‘troubled’ years, believe that Cyrinda also was a ‘difficult’ mother to Mia.

Tyler and Bowie apparently funded her hospital bills during her last months, Tyler also paid hotel bills.
