Presents for men

I am very very bad at buying presents for men. Women are easy (we have so much range!)

So, if you’ve any thoughts on possible presents for the following men, it would be much appreciated! Happy to go up to about £200 per present.

  1. Super stylish man, turning 40 just before Christmas. Likes designer-y things. Sort of person who has subscriptions to GQ and Vanity Fair.
  1. 34 year old man. Complete opposite. Becomes oddly attached to holey jumpers. Likes cricket, craft beer, expensive Nordic socks (already purchased) and BBC 4 music documentaries.

They like other things, as well, but it’s difficult to think of what they are! What Christmas presents are you buying for the men in your lives?

A couple of presents that went down well for a craft beer fan I know were a) a beer subscription box - Beer52 was pretty good; and even better, b) a day learning how to brew beer and creating one himself. I can't for the life of me remember the exact brewery but it was in Bermondsey. Tickets to a cricket event would probably go down well too.

I'd struggle with the first guy. IME very stylish people know exactly what they like and can pick it out better than anyone else can. Hard to get it just right. Does he have a favourite label? God I'd have no idea!

My partner is in to antique science stuff so I have bought him another piece from Etsy. He loved the first one for his birthday plus I was very impressed with the speed of delivery etc.

I ask DH and get him what he asks for. DS1 is always a Lego eGift card. I daren't buy him Lego. He's probably already got it. He buys all his Lego online because of lifelong illness.
