Junk mail

Is it about time to legislate against unsolicited crap being posted through doors? The amount of crud we get through the door each week is unreal. It must about to at least 20 leaflets or letters.

I think it is a simple and reasonable way to reduce the carbon footprint. Both the paper used, cars and vans driven around to post the letters. Even recycled paper will create carbon footprint in its production.

I am not exactly a big greenie but I think this practice needs to stop.

Yes: It is unreasonable to stop people and companies advertising by post
No: We should to stop this now because it is a waste of paper and mostly unwanted intrusion.

You can register so you don't have junk mail delivered. I signed up over ten years ago and only get "real" post. Some months I get nothing through the letterbox Grin

There is a telephone one as well to stop most uk spam calls. I only get the overseas calls now as its an offence for uk companies to coldcall me. Its awesome.
