Could I have some ideas of what your 6 year old girls would love as a gift please? Thank you! I know not all 6 year olds like the sane things but some ideas would help get me started.

A day trip to the zoo! No growing out of it!

TheOnceAndFutureQueen · 19/11/2021 21:29

Aqua beads and jewellery making kits are always a big hit here. Also Lego Friends sets, sylvanians, glow tracks, sparkly stationery and hair chalks/fancy hair clips

I have just bought my 6 year old great niece a musical treasure box, by Trousselier, they had a lot of choices rather than just pink. It is jungle themed and has a leopard that goes round instead of a ballerina. Loads of different ones on Amazon.

Great topic, thanks for posting. I’ve been allocated “Girl, age 6-7” for our giving tree and had no idea what to get! Lots of great ideas here, love the Our Generation dolls.

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 20/11/2021 00:31

These dolls from John Lewis are lovely and like My Generation. My niece is 6 and was infatuated with my daughter's when she came to stay last time.

My daughter is 6 in February. Things she either wants or has loved as gifts are:
LOL dolls
Hatchimals
Disney princess dresses
Jewellery making kits
Science kits
Any kind of arts and craft things
Notebooks/stationery sets

Jobegg · 20/11/2021 04:48

Just to add I think Christmas is a great opportunity to add some toys she might not normally pick for herself and it’s good to have something different to princesses etc- girls lag behind boys in some skills because they don’t get the same challenges from their toys!
I really back the Galt science kits, Lego, marble run, coding kits:
Learning Resources LER3089 Critters Bopper, Hip & Hop, Introduces Children as Young as Four, Design Your own Endless Coding Challenges, Play Hide and Seek and More www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B082VYRNJS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_PBT6FRW9ZMH03VST7KPC?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 20/11/2021 09:43

You can buy STEM kits from KiwiCo by age too - look at 'Store' rather than subscriptions. My DD enjoyed doing these.
