Are people that stupid, light hearted

Every day before the chase they seem to show this stupid advert.
Older man and wife, he is talking about how wonderful the company that replaced his kitchen work top are.
Then you see her cutting tomatoes on the new one and he puts a hot saucepan straight on it.
As the worktop is put ontop of the old one, the way they are going they will need a ladder to get to use it.
Yep i need to get out more. Please share yours if you are as boring as me lol

Is it granite? I have granite and could do either of those things in OP no problem. Though actually I would tend to use a chopping board for preparing food for hygiene reasons

Having worked in nursing homes, everyone who uses that particular bath. Because otherwise either the water gushed out when you open the door or the bathee slips in the remaining water.

The new one won’t be much higher will it? I need to see the ad. But it sounds like an overlay, so it’s hollowed out. And it’s maybe trying to make the point that you can put a hot pan on it.
